About the Beyond Zero film

“Beyond Zero” is the bold story of Interface’s CEO and his goal to render the impact of his company on the environment obsolete by 2020. It is an incredible journey of disbelief and resistance that shows how industrial sustainability is possible with forward-thinking leadership.

The document retraces Ray C. Anderson’s steps as he first decided to make his company fully sustainable and later persuaded critics and skeptics. There are many leadership lessons and a kind of community morale. It invites its audience to pursue change efforts for the better in their respective surroundings.

Beyond Zero is a fascinating story, not only about inspirational and visionary founder Ray Anderson, but the struggles and determination of a company trying to become a positive force in the world. The film delivers a message that needs to be told: In the end it indeed boils down to people, and business can be more successful and resilient, simply by doing the right thing.
